Ridglan Farms — Open Rescue (March 2026)

Ridglan Farms — DxE Undercover (2017)
Concluded — license surrender July 2026Undercover investigation at Ridglan Farms, Blue Mounds, Wisconsin. Documented devocalization without anesthesia (30-40 dogs/month), cherry eye surgery by non-veterinarians, and systematic welfare failures.
Outcome: 311 DATCP violations, state enforcement action, settlement requiring USDA license surrender by July 2026, 200+ beagles rescued.
Marshall BioResources — Whistleblower Exposé (2024)
Ongoing — no enforcement actionPhotos from inside North Rose, NY: dense cage rows, dead puppies, beagles in inhalation masks. "History Repeats" framing connecting 2024 to 1975 smoking beagles.
Outcome: Three publication waves. PETA complaint to USDA filed. No enforcement action documented.
Copenhagen Air Route Exposé (2023)
Route disruptedFOI-derived investigation exposed Marshall BioResources shipping 6,000+ beagles as cargo on SAS passenger planes through Copenhagen Airport to seven European countries.
Outcome: SAS stopped transports (summer 2023). FOI verification: no beagles via CPH since.
Envigo — PETA Undercover (2021)
Concluded — $35M fine, facility closedSeven-month undercover investigation at Envigo/Inotiv in Cumberland, Virginia. Documented 360+ dead puppies, intracardiac injection, crowding, filth. Triggered the largest AWA enforcement action in history.
Outcome: DOJ civil complaint, federal shutdown, guilty plea, $35M penalty (largest AWA ever), 3,776 beagles rescued across 29 states.
Charles River Mattawan — HSUS Undercover (2018–2019)
Concluded — beagles releasedNearly 100 days undercover at Charles River's Mattawan, Michigan facility. Documented 36 beagles force-fed pesticides in a one-year toxicity study for Corteva/DowDuPont.
Outcome: Sponsor ended test within days. 32 beagles adopted via Michigan Humane. Biotech client sued CRL over trade secrets.
Camp Beagle — MBR Acres (2021–present)
OngoingSustained protest encampment outside MBR Acres (Marshall's UK subsidiary) in Cambridgeshire. Longest-running animal rights protest camp in the UK. Documenting transport vehicles and raising public awareness.
Outcome: Ongoing. Injunctions against protesters, police actions, significant media coverage.
