Ridglan Farms — DxE Undercover (2017)
Concluded — license surrender July 2026Undercover investigation at Ridglan Farms, Blue Mounds, Wisconsin. Documented devocalization without anesthesia (30-40 dogs/month), cherry eye surgery by non-veterinarians, and systematic welfare failures.
Outcome: 311 DATCP violations, state enforcement action, settlement requiring USDA license surrender by July 2026, 200+ beagles rescued.
Envigo — PETA Undercover (2021)
Concluded — $35M fine, facility closedUndercover investigation at Envigo/Inotiv breeding facility in Cumberland, Virginia. Documented 70+ AWA violations: 300+ puppy deaths, improper euthanasia, workers performing surgery without credentials.
Outcome: DOJ civil complaint, federal shutdown, guilty plea, $35M penalty (largest AWA ever), 4,000 beagles rescued via HSUS.
Copenhagen Air Route Exposé (2023)
Route disruptedExposed Marshall BioResources shipping 6,000+ beagles as cargo on SAS passenger planes through Copenhagen Airport to seven European countries.
Outcome: Copenhagen route disrupted. Marshall's alternative shipping routes remain unknown.
Camp Beagle — MBR Acres (2021–present)
OngoingSustained protest encampment outside MBR Acres (Marshall's UK subsidiary) in Cambridgeshire. Longest-running animal rights protest camp in the UK. Documenting transport vehicles and raising public awareness.
Outcome: Ongoing. Injunctions against protesters, police actions, significant media coverage.
